I've seen a lot of sides to myself, and I've seen plenty sides of others, but the only view I've chosen to accept as what a person really is happens when I see them giving or receiving love. I believe that we know how important it is, and with all those counterfeits out there, we will try everything to feel something close to it just because we know how important it is. We want people to love us for our minds, we want people to love us for our personalities, we want people to love us for our bodies, and we want people to love us for our talents. But when we've finally let go of the last straw holding our hat together, our head is uncovered and we just want to be loved. We don't want conditions anymore because it's hard to keep up appearances. We already watch as our heart pumps on an unimaginable drive, but we can't keep worrying we aren't enough, and that is the worlds biggest lie.
People, there is no "enough." You will never be enough, you will never get enough, and you will never need enough. Be glad it's true. You are as much as you want to be. The minute a negative or positive thought comes out of your mind, it is already growing into a fact. You can nurture every thought, and you will go mad, but if you choose which ones you nurture, each one will grow into a truth, and no longer be contained in the "thinking" realm. We say "I just want..." but our heart gets anxious knowing that "just" is the word of lowered expectations, and the lower your expectations of others, the lower the expectations of yourself. You don't "Just want a nice person" you don't "Just want a hand to hold," You want the best, because anything less is unacceptable, and thank heaven you were created with a different view of "best" from everyone else. You have potential to amaze, you have the mind to inspire, and no matter how much weight you may feel you have placed upon you, no matter how difficult it may seem to please others, the most important thing to find is someone easy to love. If it's hard to love someone, you're doing it wrong, ESPECIALLY if that someone is yourself. We clog up our hearts with this idea of letting people down, but the only thing we really let down is our own selves. This is really cheesy, but it's true. Your heart knows what's right, and despite how often it runs away, your mind is there to keep it in check, more on that to come later. For me to find an engulfing peace, I need everyone to understand that love is really like the fairy tales, you just have to make sure you're reading the right one. It starts with a good ear, continues with a soft word, and ends with a warmed heart. Timeless, priceless, careless, we all need to feel this every once in a while. The only enemy is our own complacency. Your heart talks, you've just got to give it a good audience. I pour my heart into this philosophy in a tea cup.
